A growing construction firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team! The company undertakes a variety of projects across sectors, including educational, industrial, commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate will oversee projects from initiation through completion, acting as the primary contact for subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and other stakeholders. This individual should possess a strong understanding of regulatory standards, permits, and project management best practices. Exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in managing budgets and meeting timelines are essential.
Responsibilities
- Define and evaluate project scope and objectives.
- Develop and manage construction project budgets.
- Create and maintain construction schedules with milestones and deliverables using Microsoft Project, including scheduling subcontractors and updating timelines as needed.
- Prepare and administer subcontracts; oversee resource allocation for materials, labor, and equipment to ensure timely delivery to sites, aligned with work schedules.
- Conduct procurement activities, including material buyouts.
- Manage and coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, back charges, requisitions, payment applications, punch list items, and delay claims as required.
- Collaborate with on-site personnel, subcontractors, inspectors, and architects to address and resolve issues, ensuring approval of construction methods and progress.
- Inspect ongoing work to ensure compliance with specifications and adherence to schedules.
- Prepare closeout documentation for project stakeholders in line with specification requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of construction management practices.
- 2-3 years of experience in project management or similar roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera, along with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Procore is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license.
